Rebuilding The Dreaded CA95 Fuelcock

Interesting. I was initially thinking that the ultra-sonic cleaner bath with phosphoric acid solution was too harsh for using on such an old school part that isn't really made with a resistant alloy designed to last 2 lifetimes. But then again putting the bowl to the test is a GREAT idea to reveal any weak spots in the part. Leaking fuel just ruins everything when you aren't expecting it!

Are you going to show an "after" picture of the fuel selection gasket with the holes enlarged? I'll have to look back at my disc to see what it looked like. I haven't ridden the CA95 (with my rebuilt petcock) long enough to notice a starving fuel condition. It seem fine for now. If I notice it's starving I'll first enlarge the fuel cap vent hole before I look into taking apart the fuel petcock again. That would be cool to fab a custom fuel cap for these bikes. Hmmm.
