They are breather holes. You don't really do anything with them, just connect the hose on the insulator to the air cleaner, and make sure they stay clear.

The service manual refers to them on page 18-19:

"The inlet valve guide has a hole which connects with on air vent drilled through the cylinder head, so be sure the holes correspond if on inlet valve is replaced. This is designed to prevent oil entering the combustion chamber through the clearance between valve stem and guide."

Oh, and welcome to the forum! We all started here new, and I think you'll find lots of folks happy to help you out.

No problem, glad to help. If you need a digital copy of the service, parts, and owners manual, let me know.

The hose from the carb isolator and the hose to the engine cyl. head cover both go to the air filter . This is a very rudimentay emissons system using carb vacuum to draw excess crankcase vapors into the intake to be burned with the gas . I would think it's less effective trying to draw a vacuum through the carb isolator but Honda must have tested this before they put the motor out to market .

Here, it's a large file (38mb), so I uploaded it to a sharing site. You can download it here:
CA95_Manuals.zip

Just click the "Download Now" button, and it will let you download after the timer counts down.
The ZIP file has all three manuals.
