When removing my tank, I find it just as easy to suck all of the gas out using a Tempo oil changing unit. It holds about 2 gallons and has a bicycle type pump mounted on the top to create a vacuum. The unit comes with a bunch of different hose sizes and adaptors for various other jobs and is indispensable around the garage for all types of work like removal of gas for winter storage and changing lawn mower oil, etc. It also removes all of those annoying little particles that sit in the bottom of the tank and end up as trouble when they head toward your engine.
