I'm looking at a 1968 300 Honda dream 7.000mi. Runs good so I'm told it's 400 mi. from me--stock --looks very nice--has title--but 1968 and it being a 300 not a 305 is that good or bad. thanks for any information--John

Hello John.

If you're in the US, a '68 Dream is likely a CA77. The engine is 305cc. The term "300" was simply used for marketing and as a nice round number to put on the tank badges, there was no 300cc engine. (Similarly, the related "250" engine displaced 247cc, the CA95's "150" displaced 154cc, and so on.)

Around my area, a good condition running Dream goes for around $3000 and up. Even Dream's in rough condition but that are mechanically sound start at around $2500. I'm sure prices vary by region.

A good start to finding the value would be the in the online section of the NADA Guide. It has a comprehensive section dealing with antique motorcycles and lists the early Hondas.

Tks I actually sold it and then the buyer called me and asked if I wanted it back. He said he made a mistake because the bike drew way to much attention and he was afraid to park it and leave it, sooooo it's back home where it belongs.

I'm gonna paint the same color as your 72 CB175
