Very cool!

Nice to hear a motor start up after a Winter's rest. I need to get working on my Triumph. After the Winter nap it now has a fuel-saving behavior called "occasional spark", where each cylinder gets a spark every 15-20 seconds. Darn. Maybe I'll focus on that this weekend.

Triumph's are certainly cool...how's the weather been in Michigan, it's finally warming up somewhat in my neck of the woods..

Sure, the Triumph is cool, but it can be moody, and the parts are 5x the cost of Honda parts. My other Hondas start instantly whether its 20 or 90 degrees out and are easier to maintain than the Triumph.

It was in the 70s here today, but I ride all year long. Even when there's snow on the ground, if the roads are dry, I'll take a bike out for a short ride. Wind chill temps at 65 MPH get pretty cold

I got the pipes and extensions welded up today; I just need to lock down those fisheries with some hangers and pipe clamps.

Before winter; I filled the float chamber by unlatching it, during so I dropped the float needle and had to fish it back in...pretty sure I bent it out of spec's when that happened. So I need to pull the carb and adjust the float level, besides that she's ready to go.

What kind of plugs are you running in the Triumph Lake?

Not sure, I'd have to pull them to check, and pulling plugs on this triple is a true pain. Have to remove the gas tank, and use a special extremely-thin wall socket to pull them. They're about 9 inches below the cam covers, too. Most thin wall sockets are still too thick to fit in the recess.

This Triumph (1999 Legend/Thunderbird) simply consumes parts. The coils went bad last year, so I replaced those. Ignition sensor pickup died before that. Voltage checks out. Unfortunately, most other owners have the same experiences, stating "they all do that". I average a $300 repair every 500 miles or so.
