Fast easy solo seat tutorial

Post by Jetblackchemist »

Since it will be awhile before I have my custom seat finished. I figured I'd need a fast, stable, inexpensive seat in the meantime. So I figured I'd share, total time about 10 minutes. Tools and items required: Drill, wrench or socket to fit bolts/nuts. 4 bolts, 4 washers, four nuts, 1/2" threaded pipe flange, 1/2" inch pipe, bicycle seat.

tighten seat then enjoy.

No problem i'm glad someone found it useful. If using it as a more permanent seat, id suggest trimming the flange to fit the frame, so there is no overhang, and either polishing the flange and sealing it, or painting it. Also i would suggest keeping the same "square" or "box" bolt pattern as pictured above, instead of an X or cross pattern, meaning a bolt to the front one to the rear and one one right and one on the left... because it is not as structurally sound as the square or box pattern pictured above. ~Jim
