Interesting idea chip. Works well if the plan is to paint them. Reminds me of an old aviation windshield repair technique using saftey wire to repair a crack. And that's an approved method! Definitely more than one way to skin a cat.

Thank you for the update Chip. That motor is beautiful. It makes me think about how little some Honda motors have changed in 50 years.
