Thats nice and clean. We used to port crankcase pressure to the exhaust to draw the vapors and lower crank case pressures on aircraft piston engines. Worked well...

Thanks Larz.
Time Stamp 6-13-2013
This is the bike as she stands today. I have to finish the turn signal wiring and a host of small tasks.
I was able to save the original crash bars. Just a side note. I used as much of the original chrome as I could.

Glad to see you ditched those fixer pipes you had. Looking good... we'd would had the only 160s at the VJMC meet, as it is it was just me....

Thanks Larz. By the next show op this bike will be gone. The next is a CA77 due at my place on July 1.
I may request a CA305 thread on this site to continue input, otherwise I may have to move on.

It's the InterWeb, no reason to go anywhere, just blaze a trail for the group and attract more unpretentious enthusiasts. Not getting to the show is/was no big deal. In many ways I was let down by the event. There was an Atlanta area British bike club event (albeit a long standing event) in Hiawassee that made our event look like a local club event. I'd estimate a good 400 Nortons BSAs Triumphs and the like. Nice folks too and well organized.
Since I have some 305 and 350 stuff I could use a thread for the next sized bikes,
How bout it Ryan?

I would follow a thread on 305's too. I enjoy learning from your methodology Spokes. I follow the Hawk forum on fourwheel forum too because of my CB160 project.

Awesome Job on the bike!
How do you like those exhaust pipes? Are they ebay specials from Thailand?

Thanks! The bike is legal today. The 1st time in 34 years. In Georgia all you need is a Bill of Sale, A Police inspection / VIN check and proof of insurance.
The BMW type exhaust system works very well. The right side bracket needed the hole enlarged a bit otherwise I think they are a great replacement for the originals. The mufflers are quiet while cruising with a throaty sound while throttling up.

I think I'll start looking for a CA77 in about 6 months. Too many active projects at the moment, but I'd be very interested in following a CA77 tear-down. I've gone through the 305 parts manual a few times - the engines are just a tad more complex than these 150s, but still quite simple.
