Chip if you make the move you'll be super close to this place in Jackson SC... Or bikes to restore heaven as I think of it. http://www.motorcycle-recycle-center.com/ I'm thinking about heading down there this weekend with a utility trailer and kicking some tires, still feeling under the weather or not. Are you flying down or making the drive if the offer comes through?

Sam, besides the experienced rider, I think the automatic trans is a nice edge on your race bike. It's one less factor to think about...just hunker down like a dirty dog and let it rip :D . I was surprised to see a front fender on it, I'd have figured the team would have shaved off any excessive weight. Have you guys fined tuned the gear ratio or modified it? From the thread at that other site, it sounds like the bike has to fall in pretty close to others time wise and leave the edge to driver skill?

I will keep you guys posted as time nears. I may fly down for a day sometime next week for a 3 plant tour. If I come down I will be based out of South Carolina and have plants in Tennesee, Georgia and SC. It looks good at this point.

Went to the motorcycle recycle center today, well about 10 minutes from there, I call the guy up, to get an exact location...and he totally blew me off. He said I buy junk cycles I don't sell them, which seemed contrary to website pictures showing people buying bikes there, such as the check with your wives page. Honestly he seemed like he didn't want to go to the yard and just made excuses, so he wouldn't have to.

It was a pretty day and a nice drive, so it wasn't a total loss. Sorry for the disappointing news about that salvage yard, I had high hopes for it.
