Old CA-95 Ad >>>
It's interesting that the bike is shown with blackwall tires . This ad has a Sept. 1960 date on it . I have a half a dozen ads starting from 1963 to 1966 that show the bikes with whitewalls . Does anyone know if the earlier bikes we're originally sold with blackwall tires ? If so , when did Honda start using ww tires on the CA95's ?

From what I've read the 'early' CA95 had black wall tires right from the factory. The white walls came with the 'late' CA95, starting with frame number CA95-3106641 in 1963.kartgreen wrote:It's interesting that the bike is shown with blackwall tires . That same woman shows up at the bottom of the Honda brochure from the same period. Not exactly a Norton Girl, but she'll do. The CA95 Benly is at the top, listed at $460. (A CB92-R racer is listed at $520 ... where do I send my check?!)

Yeah you're right JetBlack. But for Honda that was more than I expected is all. I'm sure there were way crazier ads with loose women back then. I love these old ads. At the last bike show I went to I bought an old Cycle mag from a couple that had an old misplaced shipping container full of original old magazines. The one I bought has a couple Hondas on the front and it is from 1965. I'll scan some of it in sometime here soon.

Who rides like this?
Nah, Smithers has way more sense than to ride with his feet off the pegs; all hover style like that guy.
