Proper spark plugs?
Proper spark plugs?
What's the proper plug to be running in these? Or what works best?
This is a very common, I mean VERY common plug for early Honda motorcycles. That's why I bought the box
. They work PERFECT for these bikes and will last forever. There is absolutely no reason to buy a hotter, colder or different plug unless someone is modifying the engine or something crazy like that... even still.. Here is a common Ebay description of Hondas that the plug is ideal for:

Them thar be stop and go plugs they sent ye. And yes they be a fine plug fer ye apparatus.
The D means 18mm threads, the 6 and 8 are temperature of plug(the lower the number the hotter it is the higher the number colder and the better for racing), the H is the thread reach, the S standard electrode, A means special construction or the taper without threads before the threads start.

I knew there was a reason I registered for this forum.
I never compared the plugs for my old fleet of Hondas, but I have 4 machines in the list above. I'll order a whole box of 10.Smithers wrote:This is a very common, I mean VERY common plug for early Honda motorcycles. That's why I bought the box.
