I read awhile back that the kikker received so many customer complaints, that it was discontinued from the main importer. The kits that are still for sale are left overs. It's a Chinese build with a copy of a Honda motor, they offered little in the way of service and parts. The complaints against them aside from shotty parts was an extreme lack of power, cant title them because they are not epa or dot approved. There's a new model that is being offered by the original importer; that supposedly addresses most of the problems that the kikker had.

There's supposed to be a supplier builder out of California selling something comparable...the prices are close but the big difference is the Johnny Pag's offer service and parts...you're just not left out there flapping when it breaks down.

The JP bikes have started gaining a following over the past few years, and are probably going to soon become like the Sucker Punch Sally's from Texas I believe; that started out with under 3k DIY builds.

I'd save that cash and use it towards, something like an early Harley which can be found under 3k a lot of times if you keep looking.

They do look nice but sadly that's the only good thing about the kikker.

Thanks for the links and comments...I did do some surfing after seeing the listing on craigslist, wow talk about trash talk :(
There is in fact a JP dealer local to me but the build it yourself concept is what really peaked my interest, something to build with my boys (teach them a little in the way of hands on bike building/assembly) .. :)
