You can remove and oil the upper shock, if the noise is coming from the spring body. If it's coming from the lower part there's a grease fittings there, you can attach a grease gun to. You're better off just oiling and greasing the old ones, than buying new one's that you might have to oil and grease anyway.
You might want to look at the torque link that attaches from the brake hub to the frame. The dampeners have a steel bushing and could squeek if dry against the bolts.
The upper mount to the front suspension is another dampener with a steel bushing.
The front shocks may be worn if original. The squeek may come from the shock itself. I would find (and I have done this) another pair of front shock assemblies, clean and lube them and install them.
The links that connect the shock to the wheel have phenolic bushings. You would know they are bad as your wheel would wobble.

You don't. the front "shocks" are spring over hydraulic type. the squeek could be from the front shocks being old and worn. It still could be the top mount.
Try an experiment. With a new of full can of WD40, shoot the lube up through the fork housing. Spray till it drips out the bottom. Wipe the lube off the paint. It could be that easy to loose the squeek.

Yep the squeak is coming front the front end. When I sit on it and push down on the handlebars it squeals like a mouse.
I'm gonna pull the fender off to replace it I might as well pull the shocks out and take a peak.
I can't take it off non-op to register it till next month anyway, damn calif DMV
Tks,Lou
