New Benly Owner

Post by 92merc »

I thought I would introduce myself. Last week, I bought myself a fairly good condition Honda Benly. I've been lurking on the forum for a week now. But according to my title, it's a 1965 model. I'll check out my VIN and engine numbers when I get a chance to see if we can verify that.

But the reason I bought the Benly is because my father owned one back in the day. I've always liked the look of the classic 150/160's. I already own two Honda Shadow Aero 1100's and a Honda Ruckus.

The bike only has 4700 miles on it. Bought from original owner. Always garage kept. Seat is like new. I'll have to rebuild the carb and the tank is pretty well rusted inside. It'll need new mufflers. But the major cosmetics only need a good cleaning and polishing.

Here's the picture from the seller and my dad's bike. BTW, the bike also came with the original "Driver's Manual". A little faded, but still in good shape.

I love the old picture! That is too cool.

Nice looking bike too, but that windscreen looks SO out of place! haha

Yeah, the windscreen will be left off.

I forgot to mention, the bike even has original tires. No cracks or anything.

Haha wow - it's funny how some people have kept these little bikes for decades stored in dark garages in perfect condition! Good find. Love the old picture too.
