It has a lot of potential though. I just worry about how much power it would have for going up hills.

What about FUN? Would the electric motor be as much fun as the old Honda twin? The gas mileage is great with the 150 could you do better with electric?

I am inspired. Mount the electric motor to the transmission case. 4 gear drive. Make saddlebags to hold the batteries. Put plasic flaps to ride against the spokes to make noise.

Well it's a good idea for someone that has a regular Benly/160 and wants something else to play around on.

You could also program the acceleration to be really snappy with that electric motor! I would love something like this to zip around town on... as long as I can go like 10-15 miles that would be just fine.
