Front Suspension Specs

Post by VegeKev »

G'day All,

Does anyone have the specifications and wear limits for the leading arm bushes, pivots and bolts?

The manual mentions checking the sizes but doesn't list them.... :(

I'm specifically after the OD of the bolts that hold the springs onto the middle of the front arms. The ones I've got range from 0.390" to 0.381"....nearly 10 thou taper!.....wondering what sort of clearance they are supposed to have.

I'm assuming similar to the rear pivots?

Thanks heaps,
Kev. :)

Nothing in my info Kev, only the spring specs.
It makes that complete front end set all the more like a good buy.

If this is the part you are looking for 90147-205-010 (item 18) I found several on eBay (US) and I'd expect it is available as NOS from some place like Western Hills Honda or others. I'd just replace it if in doubt.

Thanks for the replies Gentlemen,

Yes Sam, that complete set is looking more and more like a good buy.

No Larz, the bolt I'm checking is No. 19 in the schematic. My rear pivot bolts are in fine nick...maybe been replaced before.
Only one set on evilbay at the moment appear to have these bolts included. Heaps of the No. 18's.

Cheers,
Kev :)

No fear Kev. I think the Chicoms(chinese communists) read all of the bike forums and try to market what we may be intrested in. Glad you found your part.
