Phman got a "new" bike
Absolutely - need some snow tires for the '65 Super Cub, which I rolled out of the basement workshop this morning after numerous upgrades. This was my first motorcycle, and the one I took my road test on. Still runs strong. (Sorry Phman for hijacking this thread).Smithers wrote:Better put some studs in those tires! : ]
New muffler, speedometer guts (with the odometer set to correct miles), cables, correct turn signals and switch gear from the non-US model, some new trim pieces, and rebuilt the carburetor.
Now I just need some snow-free roads.

Yeah, Sam, I've once again taken an innocent little Honda and added some bits that don't belong. I've added the correct turn signals and switch gear for the non-American model, and the center rack is aftermarket stuff.Great looking little bike Kev, was the luggage rack above the leg shields a stock or aftermarket item, the UK bikes didn't have them.
The main purpose for the off-season maintenance was the turn signal installation and a new muffler, but the luggage rack was inexpensive, and completely reversible if some future owner doesn't like it.
Really sorry, Phman - this is your thread. Post another pic of the white Benly so we can get back to regularly scheduled programming.
Hey, dont worry about it guys as long as were talking bout cycles its all good. I think there might be one of those honda cubs out on the farm also. I should have grabbed it when I was up there, but oh well. So I am kinda in a holding pattern right now waiting to order some parts, but I will keep you guys updated. Here is another pic as requested by BTL with my all white doggie in the backround, now I just need to get my bike to match the color of my dog.
