Installed my new Firestone 3.25 x 16 whitewalls:

Pros: Big and Beefy
Deeeep sticky tread
Rides perfectly...no road problems whatsoever
Brite white and comments like "whitewalls, wow"
Oversize fits front and rear perfect
Stands taller
Warm soapy water takes the plastic protector off the whitewalls,
after installation....protects from scuffing.

Cons: A Bit...h to install, take it to a dealer!
On centerstand, oversize on rear barely scrapes the ground

Pregnated with "Ride-On" motorcycle tire sealent and balancer...much, much better than that green slime. Uses 5oz. per tire. Balanced perfectly...no worries about flats.

Still have to straighten the two warped fins.

Looks great. Yeah, I also noticed that on the center stand, the rear wheel still touches the ground a tad. Not enough to make it unstable, but enough to prevent the rear wheel from spinning.

I've have yet to ride my CA95, so I can't compare these tires to anything else. I agree they''re a battle to mount. I mounted my front wheel, but after ruining three tubes I took the rear wheel to a dealer for mounting.

Super Nice! I would think twice about straightning those fins! Don't point them out and no one may even notice. Broken fins stand out big time...

If your interested, I have a fab guy at the plant that does my welding. You could send me the center stand and I could have him weld some "pads" on them. All I would need is a thickness needed. I could make them look original..no one would know the better...

You have to admit ,these bikes just look cool with Whitewalls .

Spokes, thanks for the welding offer......I am fair to meddlin with my Mig. I now pull the clutch lever in while starting....just in case; but the rear wheel barely touches the ground and I have been putting the center stand down on a flat board in the garage anyway....learned my lesson tearing up some of my garage floor coating with those center stands.

edit: I had a fella follow me home this morning after riding the Dream around the neighborhood, could not believe it was a '63......he left his phone number if I should ever want to sell it...he said he had not seen whitewalls on a motorcycle since the '70s. I told he that if he could afford to pay my labor of 2-300 hours; the same amount in aggrivation from my wife, plus the value of the bike, he could open a honda dealership.......he laughed.

Those Wide-Whites are yummy! and I like the oversize too. Makes the little bikes seem less so. Sorry I didn't look but have you posted the source and approximate cost?

I believe Coker Tire is the only source, but they sell their tires through other distributors too. I ordered mine through Jegs.com at $117 apiece. That was December 30, so the prices may have shifted a bit.

I ordered mine through UNIVERSAL TIRE. Tubes and rim bands.
