Cover suggestions?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a cover? We have pretty mild winters here in central Texas but we do get rain and the basic "motorcycle cover" they sell at Walmart/chain auto parts store seems to rip after about 2 weeks. Especially when the TX heat gets to it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

AGM Sealed Battery?

I went to get a new battery (old one was an Interstate Battery Cycle-Tron 6N12A-2D) and the guy working suggested I try an AGM Sealed battery instead (part no: WKA6-12F2).

Does anyone have any experience using this type of battery on a CA95? Are there any recommended "go to" batteries? The sealed ...

Ahh I understand, didn't realize there was a passage that went all the way from the top of the engine, along side the cylinder, and down to the crankcase. Thanks!

Need a carb gasket

So I got my carb all taken apart and the gaskets were all degraded. So I dipped it and got it all clean and I'm ready to put it back together. Anything I need to look out for when getting new gaskets or are they all the same?

Thanks from a newbie!

So the carb rebuilding begins...

New battery charged up and put on, starter motor spins just fine but nothing happens. Check for a spark and no such luck.

I start probing around with the multimeter and notice I get 6 volts on the points if they're completely open, completely closed and all the way in between.

After a good ...

Basic Battery Question

Hi All,

Right now my bike has an (old/dead) battery that needs to be replaced. It's a Yuasa B54-6.

Looking at some pics that Smithers had put up he's using a 6N12A-2D. When I looked up the specs I couldn't find any difference between these two batteries. Will both of them work for my CA95 ...

Pretty good shape = Not missing any thing, nothing frozen, and I know it was running a few years ago. Right now I'm trying to get it moving (no spark) and then start restoring it. This is actually my first bike so I'm looking forward to some fun/frustration and will no doubt have questions.
