Not a great weekend...

This was supposed to be the weekend! I was planning a victory parade around the neighborhood and everything.

Some of the US suppliers are buying their stuff from Thailand though... I noticed early on that there was some serious crap out there. The only new parts I bought for my bike were tires, air pod, tail light and cables. I've spent a lot of time cleaning, painting and polishing to keep old parts alive ...

A pdf of the service manual is here: http://www.dotheton.com/gregeastwood/Honda1959-1966.pdf

THANK YOU! The band around the switch is bent out of shape so I was trying to find a set of holes that are closer together.

Today has been one of those days where everything seems harder than it should be!
And, as if I don't have enough to do, I picked up some new toys.
Please ignore the pit that ...

Starter Switch

I'm about to lose it! I'm mere hours away from having my bike put together and I can't find where the starter switch bolts onto the frame.
HELP before I start drilling holes!

I got one of these from Rusty Riders. Less than $8. We'll see how it holds up.

I love seeing all the creative ways people can mess things up! The slide was not stuck because of varnish. It was stuck because someone tried to pry it out with a screwdriver. The bottom lip was gouged. I smoothed it out and it slides freely but it's only a temporary fix since the plating is gone on ...
