Put a new spark plug in, and the points needed adjustment as well. It starts and runs just fine now.

Well i spoke to soon. After i got all the lights installed and working i started it up today and it was not running very well. it was backfiringand running kind of rough. I checked all the wiring and cleaned the sparkplug up and changed the gas, but still backfiring. I am wondering if it could be ...

I accidentally posted pictures on your thread, anyway this is the final product. It took about 4 months but it rides nice and all the electrical works well. It should, it's new. I really appreciate all the help and advice becuase this was the first time i have attempted working on a motorcycle.

Hey Will, thanks for the pics. I think i am going to try and rig up an air filter, try to find on close to that size (less expensive) for the mean time, i rigged up this to use.

well I used a stationary bike stand and spent a couple hours and they are straight. Now my next project is trying to clean up the splines on the kick shaft. They are worn down and i dont plan on tearing the engine down again to replace it. I guess I could drill a hole and place another small bolt ...

Well one of my final task is trying to "true" the wheels. I have spent 2 days and they still wable! I have a stand to use for stationairy bike that works great for a truing stand, but its not easy!

Looks good Will. The frame dosnt need paint anyway. I agree, just put some paint on the cover and be done.

If you look at this closely, it appears that the collar #9 is on the inside of the hub, and there is no spacer or collar between the sproket and swing arm. I have all those i think. I just dont have one between the sproket and swingarm.

I dont think It had one on it when I got it, but i ordered the one in the picture. I have 1 on the right side, does that one look right? the one i ordered looks about a 1/2 inch wide.

I guess the swing arm will open up more if the spacer is installed.

Almost finished! I tried to clean up the muffler, but it was just so dirty. I found a little muffler on ebay for 70cc-125cc motorcycles and got it. It looks like it matches up great. I will put it on tonight and try to get it running. I need all new turn signals, tail light and horn, but at least ...

I was going to re paint with original color, but the tank alone was $120 for the paint, so i decided to just paint it red with a silver tank.
