haha, yeah, i didn't think so... the only benefit i could think of was cutting the chance of burning your legs in half ;)
Or shedding a couple of pounds..
It definitely looks better with two pipes i think. wish he hadn't done that

Ok, got it all put back together. i wasn't quite sure what position the clutch adjuster was supposed to be when i reattached the gold horseshoe piece that had fallen away from the bolt. but alas, it is all back together... i was quite surprised that i had to take the exhaust off and both covers on ...

2 in 1 Exhaust

Anyone know why the guy who had my bike before me would have converted the bike from a 2 exhaust system to a 2 in 1? It looks very home crafted so i'm sure he had gone through a lot of trouble... but why?

CA95 Clutch Adjuster Question

As you can see in the picture where the Clutch Adjuster (Giant Flathead looking screw) has a bolt missing to the top right of it... Well that bolt is missing because i thought i was supposed to replace it with one of the stainless ones in a set a bought for the CA95 online. As i unscrewed it, which ...

ok, i found the culprit. it was the throttle cable adjuster that is underneath the left side of the tank.... apparently the mechanic had screwed it way out to tighten the play in the throttle handle, which it did not tighten...
but i think i just made a massive mistake but it calls for a new thread ...

I checked that a couple of weeks ago and everything seems ok there. But tell me this, if it were sticking, would the throttle returning nicely after being revved?
What i don't understand is why it would run so perfectly last night with quite a few start and stops and so crappy today.
And i don't ...

CA95 High Rev at Start

So, my bike was revving super super high at start up 2 weeks ago and i could not find the problem... i tried everything i could with my limited tools.
So i sent my bike in to a mechanic that only works on vintage bikes... He fixed it! Great, right!? No. Well, when i say fixed it, i mean at his ...

Thanks so much guys, really appreciate the info.
She's with a mechanic now and of course is running just fine for him... Murphy's Law i guess... if this happens again, i'm dissecting that carb like a frog in science class and using carb cleaner instead of formaldehyde...

I noticed my oil dipstick does not have a mark on it for a max level.
Anyone know how far up the dip stick it should read?

Yeah, i felt pretty bad for the little guy too when it started up at full throttle... It was my first time to crank up a motorcycle in my entire life (not including my 77 Batavas moped) and it was almost traumatizing... haha

Because i live in a very small apartment and lack the tools and space for ...

Ok i did that today and it seems ok... i mean, it slid up when i pulled the throttle and when i let go, it pops back like it should...the grip and the slide...
But yeah, It seriously was reving SOOOO high when it started and i'd just turn the Slide screw out to counter it and then it would slow down ...

Ok, so i got it all hooked up on Saturday. I put gas in the tank for the first time and tried to crank it up... no luck with kick start and when i pushed the electronic start button, it just made a clicking sound.
So Sunday i attempted it again and the kick-start worked. it started up after a few ...
